Compliant grinding sets itself apart from rigid grinding, where workpiece is ground to fixed dimensions based on commands of a controller. Rigid grinding can lead to issues like over-cutting, collisions, and tool breakage due to significant variations in workpiece dimensions and geometry. In contrast, compliant grinding offers a safer and more intelligent solution.
浮動研磨是機器人研磨領域的先驅技術,孚達智動是國內首家自行研發設計與量產製造,並且實踐全系列商品化的公司。有別於剛性研磨———按照指令磨出固定尺寸,容易因為工件尺寸變化大或較不規整的瑕疵、突起而造成過切、撞機、斷刀等問題,浮動研磨提供了更安全更智慧化的解決方案。
The principle behind it is quite ingenious; we utilize air pressure to maintain a constant contact force on the workpiece, regardless of any surface irregularities. This ensures there are no rigid collisions between the grinding tool and the workpiece. By controlling the air pressure/contact force, material can be uniformly removed from the workpiece's surface, simplifying the complexity of robot path teaching-in.
Unlike earlier compliant mechanisms that relied on springs or rubber components, our air pressure compliant technology allows for easy control of the input air pressure. This enables the precise setting of the contact force for compliant grinding, tailored to different process requirements and workpiece characteristics.
其原理為運用氣壓提供對工件的恆定接觸力,即使工件表面起伏也不受影響,避免了研磨刀具與工件之間的剛性碰撞。如此一來透過控制氣壓/接觸力大小就可以從工件表面平均地去除材料,也大幅簡化機器人路徑教導的複雜度。相較於早期浮動機構所使用的彈簧或橡膠元件,氣壓浮動技術透過簡單地控制輸入氣壓,能按不同製程需求與工件特性設定浮動研磨的接觸力道。
